IT consultant for Pune — SaaS, education and manufacturing
Pune mixes SaaS startups, engineering firms and a very large education sector — three groups that want completely different things from the same consultant.
IT services in Pune
Pune work splits between product companies wanting cloud and AI help, and institutions wanting websites, admissions capture, attendance and campus networks.
Website and app development, AI systems, cloud, digital marketing and day-to-day IT support are delivered remotely — same service, same response, no travel on the invoice.
On-site work (CCTV, access control, cabling, servers) is arranged as a scheduled visit with travel quoted transparently and separately. For same-day hands-on cover, a local vendor is the honest recommendation and I will say so rather than take the work.

Education and campus work
Schools, colleges and coaching institutes are a steady share of Pune enquiries, and they need three things together: a site that converts admissions enquiries, attendance that feeds payroll and records, and campus coverage that satisfies an audit.
Bought from three vendors that becomes three systems and nobody accountable when attendance stops syncing. Designed together it is one cabling run and one handover.
Two Punes, and they need different things
Pune splits cleanly into two kinds of site and quoting them the same way is the common error. The IT corridor — Hinjewadi, Kharadi, Magarpatta, Yerwada — is modern commercial stock with the same characteristics as Hyderabad's better buildings: usable risers, reasonable power, good connectivity. Standard commercial fit-out rules apply.
The manufacturing belt is a different engineering problem entirely. Chakan, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Talegaon and Ranjangaon are automotive and engineering territory, and a shop floor is hostile to office equipment: vibration from machinery, metal dust and coolant mist in the air, wide temperature swings, and electrical noise that ordinary networking hardware handles badly.
Pune's climate is the mildest of the metros on this list, which genuinely reduces cooling loads and outdoor equipment stress compared with NCR or Chennai. It is one of the few places where that is worth saying.
- IT-corridor offices: conventional structured cabling, standard commercial equipment
- Shop floors: industrial-rated switches, IP65+ cameras, sealed enclosures, and fibre rather than copper where machinery creates electrical noise
- Vibration-tolerant mounting for anything fixed to or near production equipment
- Segmentation between production systems and office network — the most commonly missed control on manufacturing sites
- Education sector work is a genuine Pune specialism: attendance, campus Wi-Fi and admissions systems together

FAQ
Pune — common questions
Do you work with startups on a small budget?
Yes. Starting with an MVP or a single high-intent landing page is usually better use of capital than a full build of assumptions.
Can you help with admissions enquiry capture?
Yes — structured enquiry forms routed to WhatsApp and your CRM, with the source of every enquiry recorded so you know which channel actually fills seats.
Is on-site work available in Pimpri-Chinchwad?
Yes, on scheduled visits, same as the rest of Pune.
Can office networking equipment be used on a factory floor?
It can be installed there. It should not be. Shop-floor conditions — vibration, metal dust, coolant mist, temperature swings and electrical noise — will kill commercial-grade switches and cameras well inside their expected life. Industrial-rated hardware costs more upfront and is cheaper across three years. This is the most common false economy I see in the Chakan and Pimpri belt.
Should the factory network be separate from the office network?
Yes, and it usually is not. Production systems and office computers sharing one flat network means a compromised laptop can reach machinery controls, and it means office traffic competes with systems that need determinism. Segmentation costs almost nothing at design time and is disruptive to retrofit.
